There are number of different ways that employees can be developed, from induction to on the desk job training to internal or external courses, workshops and coaching and mentoring etc. This scrutinize different more methods of learning and development and how they could be used to enhance capacities of human capital.

In the current global context employers are aware and understand the value of invest in learning and development, therefore they tend to invest heavily on L&D to fine tune efficiency of their human capital.

Toyota have established a philosophy called '' Monozukuri is about developing people '', from which them manifest the need of employee development for a sustainable growth as a company .

Virgin Care has been short listed for the award for '' Excellence in Learning and Development '' category of the 2015 '' Personnel Today Awards '' after delivering training around ten thousand managers across England.

Referring to my own company Ellis Coco, we have an annual budget for L&D and we specially conduct an ''Outbound Training'' program apart to other in house training programs  to enhance employee capacities and to established a team culture.

Learning and development can be identify as the process of acquiring new skills, knowledge, behaviors and positive attitudes which maximizes employee potential to meet current and future job requirements and deliver their capacities to achieve organizational objectives.

It could be crucial for companies to form an organizational focus when setting targets for learning and development exercises. Furthermore Learning and development targets and exercises should be linked to organizational objectives for a better return.

Therefore that can be stated, having a good L&D strategy for a company could improve the overall  performance, efficiency and productivity and lift the business to acquire competitive edge.
Both Learning and development are key factors for organizations to achieve their targets as well as employees to improve their skills and develop their careers. The methods or the approach of L&D could be differ from organization to organization but  methods has to be continuously asses and develop to match with the fast paced business environment.
